They will try to deceive you into giving away your details for websites you use, such as Paypal, eBay and Amazon, or even official organisations such as the Financial Services Authority (FSA), Financial Ombudsman Service, or the Office of Fair Trading (OFT). Whether debt consolidation or debt management, people search on the web for information. It is here that often they get misguided. Scammers are all over. They even collect personal information from social networking sites Facebook, Myspace and LinkedIn very attractive to fraudsters. Even just your email address is enough to add you to future phishing scams lists.
