Money Only Matters When You Don’t Have Any
Money never seems to important when you have plenty of it. It is one of those things that the less you have the more important it becomes. I guess that probably applies to lots of things in life and when things come easily we become complacent and automatically assume it is pretty much the same for everybody else too.
It makes it extreemly difficult to imagine yourself in the shoes of somebody else who does have a problem with money. Someone who is struggling to make the best use of every single penny they get. We may talk about being a bit short of money when it means we can’t afford to have a weekend away or go out for a splash-up meal at a smart restaurant but to someone who is really struggling it might be that being a bit short means they cannot afford to eat at all, they can’t afford to pay their rent or their gas bill. When you slide down towards the bottom life is very tough indeed.
Politicians are very good about talking about their concern for the lower paid and those disadvantaged people but talk doesn’t ever buy food. Those people who are struggling so hard don’t want to hear words they need some action and most that I have met aren’t looking for handouts either. All they ask for is the opportunity to be able to work their way out of their difficulties. There is that well known saying about giving a man a fish feeds him for a day but give him the equipment to fish and he can feed himself for life.
When you struggle every day but no matter what you do you still come up short of the money you need to pay the bills live can seem pointless, depressing and sould destroying. What is the point of trying when it achieves nothing? When you feel you are banging your head against the wall every day it hurts but while you have hope of improvement in life you can keep doing it. When that hope starts to fade you just wonder why you bother.
Opportunity is all around us but not everyone can see it and not everyone is in a position where they can take advantage of that opportunity. Sadly there are plenty of sharks who see struggling people as an opportunity in itself. They sell them a dream of success and sell them a useless package of material and call it a business opportunity. There may be the occasional success but most people will find it just leaves them even poorer and feeling they have failed once again.
It’s a tough world out there when you don’t have any money and it is full of sharks who will fleece you of any money you do have left. If somebody makes you an offer that sounds too good to be true then it probably is. Be wary, be very cautious but never give up hope. There are opportunites out there just take care that you are buying into a real opportunity and not a simple scam.
