We all have debts these days. Credit Cards, Loans & Mortgages. They can be useful tools in managing our lives but we do have to manage them or they can take us over. Debt reduction is about finding a strategy to reduce this problem.
Just adding to our debts each time we fancy something new is not managing our debts. We have been encouraged to live our lives not on the basis of what we earn but on the basis that someone else will finance our lives. Wonderful! The problem arrives when they want their money back.
So how do we go about managing our money? What can we do when we feel overwhelmed by our debts? We need to reduce our debts to a level we are comfortable with. The credit card bills keep appearing every month, the mortgage never seems to go down and the car you bought with that loan three years ago needs replacing. You need to get control of your credit cards, your loans and your, yes YOUR money. You work hard for it so why give it all away in interest payments.
