There are hundreds of different credit cards available though they are mainly supplied by just a handful of banks. They do all vary in the way they operate and you should make yourself aware of the differences so that you can get a credit card that suits you and your lifestyle. The fundamental way they work is similar but they alter various factors which may suit some people better than others.
The variables tend to be:-
1) The interest rate. 0% balance transfers have become quite common.
2) Cashback Credit Cards - These pay you a percentage of your monthly spend.
3) The interest free period on purchases before payment is required.
4) Rewards for use - Airmiles & Supermarket points are two examples of this.
One or another of these types may suit you best. You should consider your credit card use and decide which would be most appropriate and beneficial for you to use. There is little point in getting airmiles if you never fly and 0% balance transfers mean little if you have no balance to transfer.
Don't be rushed into a credit card offer. Take your time and read the small print. If one card offers something that others don't then they may well be cutting back in other ways. The only way to be sure is to read and understand the small print becuse that is where they explain how it all works. Next...> Benefits Of Credit Cards
